I wanted to learn photogrammetry and tried a few models at my parents' place some time ago. First model was a simple woven quadratic casket, then a more complex cylinder type container with nice carvings and as last prop I wanted to try a basket, that is a bit more complex to do since it has holes etc. The scan didn't come out perfect so I had to clean it a bit and smooth out some noise.
The scans generally didn't come out perfect, I did correct the colors in photolab for the scan (with a color checker) and used cross polarization but I ended up further correcting colors in Substance Designer to get a nicer mid range and less saturation in the albedo. I also removed shadows as much as possible in Affinity Photo. My equipment wasn't high end in general but I tried anyway. :)
It was a great learning experience though.
